Chicago Med is an American medical drama television series created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead as the second spin-off from Chicago Fire.
The series premiered on November 17, 2015. The show focuses on the emergency department (ED) doctors and nurses of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and how they tackle different tasks everyday to save patients' lives.
NBC originally ordered 13 episodes for season one, however on December 11, 2015, an additional 5 episodes were ordered, bringing the season to 18 episodes. On February 1, 2016, NBC renewed the series for a second season. On May 15, 2016, it was announced that the series would be moving to Thursdays. The season premiered on September 22, 2016.
The Show Stars: Nick Gehlfuss, Torrey DeVitto, Yaya DaCosta, Brian Tee, S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett and features many other stars.
David "Dion" Collier is cast as a regular Med Student on the show, who appeared first mid-way through first season. David "Dion" Collier has returned for season 2.
