[017] One keyboard and monitor for multiple rigs

Do you have multiple computers? Maybe you have a Mac, a PC, or a Linux box? With todays computers, doing virtualization is a piece of cake. But how about if we don't have a powerful modern rig that can do virtualization? What if the only rigs you have is the aforementioned? Doing it old school one OS per rig is still the best way (for me) since all resources are focused on to the rig. 

But having multiple rigs could be troublesome at times. Just by typing and clicking will be bothersome when moving from rig to rig. 

Using KVM is great as well. But what if you don't have a KVM or you don't have enough budget to buy a KVM?

A solution to this is by using a software called Synergy. The said application could be installed to a PC, Mac, and to a Linux box as well. What Synergy does is to let the user use one keyboard and mouse to control the input of multiple rigs.

If you also have a large monitor (with multiple display ports), you can display your OS simultaneously to your monitor. In fact, you could also load one OS to the monitor at a time as well.

But right now, if you go to Synergy's website, you need to pay for a copy of Synergy. If you enjoy Synergy, I strongly suggest for you to buy a copy to support the Synergy team.

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS
Synergy is a great tool when you want to use one input for multiple rigs. I use it at work at it does NOT disappoint. Synergy could be installed on different operating systems which is a great feature. If you are using Synergy on a daily basis, please support the Synergy team by purchasing a copy of Synergy.
